Take the Time to Do Nothing

These are beautiful words from the book Finding Your Strength in Life by David Viscott, from the section Take the Time to Do Nothing. And that's exactly what I did in the first few days of 2014. (Click the note above to enlarge.)

Well, not absolutely nothing. Nothing much at least. A few trifling tasks here and there. All done while in deep thought - recollecting, contemplating and dreaming. And we really need to take the time to do these "nothings" every once in a while. Especially now in these few days after the demands of the last holiday and before we go back to work in full swing tomorrow.

Actually I hoped to do the nothings in a beach this weekend. It's really a good place to sense the expanse of the sky and the breadth of the horizon, along with the warmth of the sand and the coolness of the water. But that didn't happen because I got carried away with doing nothing for it to happen. LOL

Well I'll try again next weekend. After all we got an entire year ahead of us. ^_^
