A Surge of T-Shirt Orders

It started late in April and continued through May and it looks like some of the shirts will be printed by June. A total of 66 BuhayBohemio Shirts ordered by 8 people, most of whom I know personally. I wonder what caused this series of shirt buying. Usually Facebook friends  order a shirt or two after they see a design that they like from a photo I posted of recent prints.

Perhaps the online catalog that I launched early  last month is doing its job. When someone inquires I lead them to the website. I guess the ease of browsing for products there  induced them to buy more than a single shirt. Or maybe it just so happened that a number of my friends needed new set of shirts, all at the same time LOL.

Well these orders sure kept me busy for the past 3 weeks. They've delayed some things, like the development of new products and also some personal projects. But of course these are good delays. I've earned back what I've spent in my recent Bicol trip hehe...  Argh! I'm yet to post about the rest of the trip!

You know, printing different designs takes longer than printing the same number of shirts of a single design. And with these orders I certainly felt the disadvantage of not having printed stocks, during the warmest month of the year! Whew! Really exhausting!

Anyways, I'd like to express my gratitude to my customers for their support for Buhay Bohemio. Thank you Cesar, Eric, Sir Ramon and family, Boss Vic, Jowie, Chaps, Elwel and friends, and Leandro. ^_^

Bicolandia Trip 2014:
Meeting the Majestic Mayon

Well I'm glad I finally got the chance to blog about my 4-day Bicolandia trip that took place early this month. Though, because of busy schedules, I will have to break them in different posts. Let me start from day 4:

The province of Albay is the last destination of our regional trip. My friends and I went to Legazpi City to get a closer look at Mount Mayon and this is as close as we can get - about 5 kilometers from the base of the volcano. This is actually my first time to see this majestic mountain.

That's Don of bonggaba.com doing a groupie shot for us.  We are lucky to have seen  the peak that day. Sometimes a big cloud can hide the upper half of the volcano for an entire day. On rainy days you wouldn't even see the entire mountain!

Here's another photo of the "bulkan" by our friend Thryke. Mount Mayon's peak is 2,463 meters above sea level. You can actually see the peak from Camarines Sur, peeping above other mountains in the region.

Mayon is an active volcano. In this same month last year it had a surprise phreatic eruption that lasted 73 seconds. That short moment, I'm sad to mention, caused the death of 5 climbers - 3 Germans, 1 Spaniard and a Filipino guide.

The volcano had over 48 eruptions in the past 400 years. One of which bombarded the town of Cagsawa in 1814. The bell tower in this photo is all that was left of their church that was built in 1724.

Yeah it may have done a lot of ugly stuff but no one could ever deny its beauty. Because of it's near symmetry, Mayon is renowned as the "perfect cone".   The name itself is from the Bicolano word "magayon" which means "beautiful".

Well I need to get back to work. Do watch out for my Caramoan adventure in the coming posts. ^_^

This is a really nice quote. Only I'm not quite sure who Daniel L. Reardon is. You'll find this quote all over the web but there's so little about the author. If I'm not mistaken he's the Irish playwright, actor and director. Or maybe the Australian motocross racer LOL.

Anyway, let's just focus on being an optimist.  ^_^

New BuhayBohemio Shirt:
my Swiss T-Shirt

I forgot to feature this new t-shirt here in my blog. But some of you may already have seen in my online catalog. This shirt is one of the designs created for the first quarter of the year and it replaces my old Lifeguard t-shirt design.

That's my friend Eric, by the way. He's first to order this shirt design. Thanks dude!

The design is also available on a black shirt with silver print, for men and ladies. There's white too, with red and black print. Check it out at catalog.buhaybohemio.com . ^_^

The Bohemian Goes to Bicol

I went to Bicol Region last week with 6 of my friends for a much needed vacation. It was a 4-day trip and I haven't been away this long for quite some time.

I'm gonna tell you guys about my Bicolandia adventure. But first I need to get back to work! They're already piling up!
