      The first time I've read this prose poem was in college and I couldn't relate to it that much back then. Just last week, after about 20 years, I heard an oldies song that has spoken words and thought that it was beautiful. I remembered some lines and Googled it and so I learned that it was Desiderata recited by Les Crane, recorded in the early 70's.

Desiderata (Latin for "desired things") is written by American writer Max Ehrmann in 1927.
